Up and down

So I was already to post my latest brag update about how I'd finally reached NL50 again wasnt going to move back down again but I didnt have time to do it yesterday. So this morning I decided I'd post it up after I play a NL50 6 max session, lol woops. Dropped 4 buy-ins, then switched to Fr and dropped another buy-in then decided to stop playing.

I so currently half 18 buy-ins for NL50 which is bit to short for my liking so I am going to one table NL 50 and multitable nl 20 till i hit 20 buy-ins again.

Here's two hands that some up my day:

villan hand K's for top set.

So Close...

So I havent posted much update's on how I have been doing recently so I felt now was a good time. I started back playing NL20 full ring on Ipoker on the 18th of May and I have been running amok since then. Here's my win rate since then.

Obviously this could be a sick heater so I am trying not to get to happy. But I feel as If I have been playing well. the major thing is I have not tilted really at all and I have been making so solid folds and not stacking off with TPTK and overpairs at every oppurtunity.

I currently have 18 buy-ins for NL50 and I took some shots at it today. I was $10 off having the 20 but as you can see from the graph I lost a bit at NL 20 this eveing against a donk playing HU( was a FR table that broke up)

I playing 580 hands of NL 50 today and I am up over a buy-in but since I dropped the 5 buy-ins at NL 20 I wont play again until I hit the 20 buy-in mark. When I took shot last time I lost a few buy-ins then spewed loads off at NL 20 in frustration which cost me so much in wasted time.

The plan is once I get to 20 buy-ins I will play 1 table of NL 20 until I have 22 buy-ins. Then I will play two tables until I have 25 buy-ins in which case I will switch to 4 tables and move the move permenant.

Hope the tables are always this juciey...

Villan had 8's.

MoP video 2+3 study session

Videos 2 and 3 explain alot of similiar concepts so I will put both videos into 1 review slot. The table of contents in video 2 is Pot Odds, Implied odds, fold equity, hand combinations and G-bucks. He goes into fold equity more in video 5. Video 3 revisits Pots odds, implied odds and tools to help us determine Pot equity and mental shortcuts. So I will go through Implied odd. I have Pot odds known already so I will skip that.

Implied Odds:

Here's what WOT wrote for his first slide

Is the relationship between the amount of money you have to call and the total amount of money you
expect to win from the making the call.

8 outs to hit our straight, we need 2.2:1 on a call but we are getting 2:1.

Stacks: $950
flop: 9:spade: 7:club: 2:diamond:
hand 6,8:hearts:

what are our implied odds?

$100 in to $200 pot, plus $950 behind.

950 + 200 = 1150:100 or about 11.5:1 which is roughly 5:1

I'll use a hand I played recently to try and grasp it a bit better.

Button ($21.87)
SB Hero ($20.20)
BB ($1.40)
UTG ($1.20)
UTG+1 ($8.05)
MP ($20.30)
MP ($3.30)
MP ($21.96)
CO-1 CO-1 ($18.13)
CO CO ($19.63)

Preflop: Hero is in the SB with A Q
5 folds, CO-1 raises to 0.60, CO calls 0.60, 1 fold, Hero calls 0.50, 1 fold.

Flop (2.00) 8 5 T
Hero bets 1.40, 1 fold, CO raises to 2.80, Hero calls 1.40.

Turn (7.60) 2
Hero checks, CO bets 3.80, Hero ??

So I have to call $3.80 into a $11.60 pot, which is 3/1. Obviously if you count my overs as outs I am getting correct odds to call but for this I will just use my FD.

Too call hoping to hit a flush I need to get 4.1/1. Here I am getting 3/1 so I need to see if my Implied odds are good enough to call.

$7.60 + $12.43 = 20.03:3.60 = 5.56/1 which is better then the 4.1/1.

However alot will depend on the kind of villan you are up against as to just how much implied odds you have. If he is very tight he could fold even if you hit your flush, and especially when you are OOP it makes hands very difficult to play.

The next video is calculating EV which I havent watched yet but it's the one I am most looking forward to learning.
