***10/08/08 UPdate****

So now I have moved up I realised I'll need to put alot more work into my game so I've been taking full advantage of my DC subscription. I've watched all Bottomset's ringside series. I especially liked his last one where he plays hands differently to what I would of thought would be correct lie, he flatted a few times in spots where I would of thought a 3-bet of fold is best so I have been working on that a bit.

Here's a hand I tried something different. Villan is 34/8/agg. FQ of 31 over 484 hands, his Att. to steal is 21% .

Pre-flop: ($1.50, 10 players) Hero is BTN

6 folds, CO raises to $4, Hero calls $4, 2 folds

I decided to flat call here IP as both the blinds were 6/5 shortstacks and I kewn they'd eiter shove or fold so I was confident this would be HU. If there had been a limper is front I'd 3bet this as i wouldnt want to play a pot with Q's 3way

Flop: ($9.50, 2 players)
CO bets $6, Hero calls $6

Obviously I immediatly regretted not 3betting pre-flop, lol. I thought I'd peel one off anyway and hope to check behind on turn and make a small VB on river if he checks again.

Turn: ($21.50, 2 players)
CO bets $15, Hero calls $15

Jackpot!! Lovely turn card for me and too see him leading is even better. Now I know he definitly has an A. Since he has a relatively low Pf-r I put him on ATo+ /Axs put more unlikely. If he checks turn I can make it $35 or so on river and get looked up by all his high A's like AT+. Since the chance of him having Axs is less since he is quite tight pre-flop I think making a bigger bet on the river will be better as he'll have high A's more often. Aswell as that since the board his quite low his Ax that hit 2 pair will definitly call or lead out on river most likely.

River: ($51.50, 2 players)
CO bets $57.90, Hero calls $57.90

Ship ship! I dont even have to worry about the river bet size now. His oversize shove took me by suprise. I now thought he had a set of A's, A2, A6,A8 or AK. I couldnt see him having 6's or 2's as he is problay too nitty to raise though, specially 2's. I fist pump called and he turn over A9o which definitly took me by suprise. lolipokeraments.

Flop: ($12, 2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $9, SB raises to $18, Hero raises to $44, SB calls $26

With the K of spades I think flatting his c/r on the flop then shoving over any turn is the best play altough it's tough. A good chance flush draw hands wont be able to fold any way but 78,76 might find a fold.

Turn: ($100, 2 players)
SB bets $27.20, Hero calls $27.20

River: ($154.40, 2 players)

Final Pot: $154.40
SB shows:

Hero wins $151.40 ( won +$75.20 )
MP1 lost -$1.00
SB lost -$76.20
